Jennifer Zanko and Keith Lew were married on Saturday evening at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle, N.Y. The Rev. Maureen Orfino, an interfaith minister, performed the ceremony.

The couple met at Cornell, from which they graduated.

Mrs. Lew, 29, is an associate specializing in financial transactions at Dewey & LeBoeuf, a law firm in New York. She received a law degree cum laude from Boston College.

Dr. Heather Ingrid Rieff, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward K. Rieff of West Nyack, N.Y., was married yesterday to Davis Austin Barker, a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Sherman Barker Jr. of Lakeville, Conn. The Rev. Maureen Orfino, an interfaith minister, performed the ceremony at the Hotchkiss School in Lakeville.

The bride, 28, is a postdoctoral fellow in neurobiology at the University of Virginia, where the bridegroom, 29, will begin his second year of law school next month.

ONE guest at Natasja de Sanders and Edward Coffey's ceremony said it should be called "Wedding Lite" since it had none of the heaviness and formality usually associated with weddings.

Ms. de Sanders, 31, and Mr. Coffey, 32, are casual, easy-going people, almost unbelievably so. The night before their outdoor wedding on July 27, the bride said very calmly that she wasn't sure what kind of food there would be, how many guests would show up or what they would do if it rained.

PAUL CARVAJAL, 36 years old, recalled the moment he fell for Adrienne Mirviss, 38, who is known as Scottie.

"Things happened for me when Scottie told me she got all these environmental magazines but could never read them because they made her so sad," he said. "I felt like I had met my match. The first time she ever got angry with me was when I said whales were not as intelligent as dolphins."
